About Claude Pierray

Born in 1698, Pierray worked in Paris, where he was probably held in high esteem. The existence of an apprenticeship contract with chartered master Guillame Barbey would suggest this. He died a bachelor in 1729, leaving behind him only a housekeeper and a few apprentices.
