If you commission the making of an instrument, you have the opportunity to choose the model and the types of wood to be used, and to indicate any personal preferences pertaining to the instrument. Having discussed this with you we then draw up a sales contract which states, as well as the above-mentioned aspects, the delivery time, the delivery method and any possible extra down payments. Obviously, this does not apply to an instrument bought from stock.
We do our utmost to keep a limited number of instruments in stock for the impatient among us or for those who need an instrument for a music project, for example. In order to be able to offer this service we regularly leave ‘gaps’ in the list of commissions, so that we can be as flexible as possible with the delivery times. Contact us for the possibilities.
Experience reveals that many people like to see and try out the instrument before committing themselves to purchasing it.This possibility is offered when you visit our stand at Early Music markets and exhibitions. But of course it is also always possible during a visit to our workshop.
At various exhibitions throughout Europe, we are present with a stand. There we can show new instruments, which we can offer on the spot. There are also often older instruments that we have received on loan from our customers.
We always try to present the best possible overview of our work. It is often too noisy and restless to play in the stand, but there are usually quiet areas where you have the opportunity to try out the instruments in peace and to discuss with us the possibilities of acquiring an instrument. for you to acquire an instrument. Just having a cup of coffee and talking about the weather is also allowed. The next exhibitions are:
In 1991 we appeared for the first time at the Early Music Exhibition during the Utrecht Early Music Festival. Since then we have been glad to return. At first in Vredenburg and now in TivoliVredenburg..
In the middle of winter we travel to Vienna, where since 1996 we have not missed an edition of the Resonanzen festival, where we greet many customers and friends at our stand.
In Regensburg we have been guests of the Salztadel on the Danube every year since 1995. Always at Whitsun and always (at least almost always) in nice weather.
The nicest method but not always feasible because of the geographical distances. If at all possible we are always glad to be able to welcome you to our workshop. If you travel by train, we will pick you up at Assen or Groningen station.
Sometimes a bit difficult if a lot of people are visiting the stand, but it always proves possible to make time for this.
If it fits in with our itinerary there is nothing to stop us visiting you at home.
If the instrument is sent by this method, all costs are payable by the customer (e.g. import and clearance charges). It is also necessary to buy a suitable case for the instrument. Ask in time for more details to avoid disappointment.
