the original instrument is part of the Dolmetsch collection which can be seen in the Horniman Museum in London.

-ABOUT Giovanni Paolo Maggini-

Born at Botticino near Brescia in 1580. He was an apprentice of Gasparo da Salò. He worked his whole life in Brescia, and died there of the plague in 1630.
